Starting an Active Phase

An Active Phase is a finite, coached phase of 4, 8 or 12 weeks. You start one from Start an Active Phase at the end of the Today screen.

The steps

If Fazon has no weight for you yet, it asks for one first.

  1. Choose a length: Reset (4 weeks), Core (8 weeks) or Transformation (12 weeks). Prices are shown here, and nothing is charged yet.
  2. How active are your days? Pick the closest answer.
  3. What’s driving this phase? Pick any that fit.
  4. Now you set the movement. Choose your daily step target and how many Power Walks a week. The coach suggests a starting point.
  5. Here’s the plan I’d start you on. Choose a pace: Gentler, Standard or Ambitious. The pace sets how far below your estimated energy use your calorie target sits. Steps, Power Walks and protein are the same at every pace. Each pace shows an estimate, not a promise.
  6. Pick your weekly check-in. Choose a day and time, and a reminder if you want one. The check-in stays on that slot every week.
  7. Confirm and start. Tap the start button, for example Start Core. You pay once, through Apple. Nothing renews.

When day 1 is

It depends on the time you confirm:

  • Before 18:00, today is day 1, counted from midnight. Steps you’ve already taken count, so add anything you’ve already eaten.
  • At 18:00 or later, day 1 is tomorrow. Today isn’t counted, though you can still log it. Your phase keeps its full length, so it ends a day later.

Your first check-in is the first time your check-in day comes round after day 1. If that’s less than four days after day 1, the first check-in is a week later, so the first week is never too short to read.

While a phase runs

There is no pause, and a phase can’t be ended early. It runs until its last day, and then the phase review takes you back to Maintenance Mode. You can move your check-in day under You → Settings → Check-in day.
