Setting up Fazon

The first time you open Fazon, a short setup takes you through how it works and what it needs. It takes a few minutes, and you can skip most of it.

The steps

  1. A short intro to the two ways to use Fazon (Maintenance Mode and Active Phase) and the three things it works with: calories, walking and protein. Tap Skip intro if you’d rather go straight on.
  2. Apple Health. Tap Connect Apple Health so Fazon can read your steps and weight, or Not now to do it later. Either way, setup continues.
  3. A few details: height, sex, date of birth and weight. Waist is optional. Anything Apple Health already has is filled in, and every field you’re asked for has Skip.
  4. Suggested goals for steps, calories and protein. Tap Use these, or Adjust to change them.
  5. Usage data. One choice: Share usage data or Not now. If you share, Fazon gets which screens you open, what you do and the reasons you pick when you start a phase, except the medication reason, which is never shared. Nothing you log or type is ever shared, and nothing is sent unless you say yes.
  6. You’re set. Tap Go to Today.

Why it asks

Your height, sex, date of birth and weight are what the calorie and protein suggestions are calculated from. If one is missing, the suggestion that needs it shows a starting default instead, and Today leaves that goal unset until you set your own.

Height, weight and waist are saved to Apple Health if you’ve connected it. Sex and date of birth stay in Fazon.

You can change your usage-data choice at any time under You → Settings → Privacy.

Where you land

You start in Maintenance Mode, on the Today screen. Nothing is bought during setup. An Active Phase starts only when you choose one, from Start an Active Phase at the end of Today.
